    I know a guy that recently turned 18, that has only been doing Taekwondo for 4 years and is on USA Taekwondo Senior Team competing around the world earning world ranking points with the dream of going to the Olympics. All up to you and your ability.

    Ideally you would have competed through the younger divisions and gained experience. You're required to be at the senior level to proceed towards the Olympics, basically 18+. Coaches do not need to have a black belt, but will have specific qualifications and requirements through USAT, AAU, WT, etc. There are coaches that are very good who don't have a black belt. The best coaches are going to be the ones that motivate you the most and really understand the sport inside and out. Do your research before choosing a coach.
