  • Question
I find climbing a rope quite the challenge. Any tips?

Climbing a rope mostly taxes your arms, back and grip strength. Exercises that focus on pulling motions such as pull ups, inverted rows, bent-over rows and just about anything else called a "row" should help. Using a heavy weight should work your grip too, but it might be worth using extra grip strength tools.
  • Question
Would this help lose weight too?

Yes, any sort of exercise burns calories and will assist with losing weight. however weight loss won't happen unless you are in a calorie deficit (average person in the ballpark of 2000-2500, but you can find calculators for this online.)
