Yes, a Siberian would most likely get too hot in an Australian summer. To combat this, you could have your air conditioning on and give it ice to lick. However, it would be more sustainable to get a breed like Cornish Rex or Sphynx, which are both hypoallergenic but have much less fur than Siberians. They do, however, get sunburned more easily, so be careful with letting them be outside or in the sun for too long.

Try to switch between foods. Put Acana food first, then when it’s finished put Whiskas and switch between those two for a month, after which time your cat may like it. If your cat likes it continue feeding less Whiskas until it is completely replaced.

Try moving the plants in a place that the cat cannot access and go to. Limit the cat from going to these places and discourage it whenever you see it go near the plants.
