No matter what I enter as a new password, it says "the password cannot include your name or username." What can I do to get past this?

I need to change my phone number - how do I do that?

Log in with your Yahoo! account and open your Account Info page (See the first method above). In the "Account security" section, you can click "Phone numbers" to add your phone number. You'll get a text at the new phone number to verify that it's yours. You cannot change your phone number if you don't have access to your account.
