    Expert Answer
Boiling water can help you with great results, as long as you're comfortable transporting hot water in your yard. You could also just use a scrub brush and some kind of cleaning solvent, sort of like you would wash your car.
  • Question
How can I prevent weeds from growing in my landscaping rocks?
    Community Answer
If the pebbles are small and sitting on top of plastic, you really need to wash all the debris out after a number of years, as otherwise there can be a build up of organic matter that provides a great base for weeds.
  • Question
How do I clean water stains off a white rock home?
    Community Answer
Try a really good pressure washer. If it doesn't come clean with the pressure washer, you might look into Spray Nine Marine. It's for boats, but it works well on rain gutters, plastic fencing, etc. too.
  • Question
How do I clean white calcium build up on swimming pool decorative rocks?
    Community Answer
There are chemicals that can help, like CLR, or you can use a sand blaster. Do this many times until the calcium wears away while periodically submerging the rock in CLR.
  • Question
What can cause the stones underneath a plant to become dark gray?
    Community Answer
The stones underneath vegetation can turn dark gray for many reasons. The most reasonable conclusion is the plant's moisture from transpiration in the leaves is saturating the stones. Watering the plant regularly can cause this change to the stones, and rainy weather can do the same thing. Damp soil can cause this as well.
