  • Question
This didn't work for me. I tried over and over but it just made a mess! Can you help me?
    Community Answer
Don't use baking soda. Sometimes it will clump up if there's water in your showerhead. Just use the vinegar. It's the best way. If you need to, flush out the showerhead with hot water and repeat the process until it's clean. It may take a few times if you have mineral build up. It's especially bad with well water.

    Community Answer
No, vinegar will only clean the metallic holes. What you can do is remove the shower head and then clean it with pipe cleaners dipped in a toilet cleaner.
  • Question
Does the vinegar work if the holes on the shower head are rubber or plastic?
    Community Answer
It removes the buildup whether the faucet or shower head is metal, rubber or plastic.
  • Question
What should I do if my shower head keeps dripping after the water is turned off?
    Community Answer
Your hot or cold water valve is dripping. Feel the water after you turn off the shower to tell which. It may just be an O ring or valve that needs replaced.
  • Question
How do I clean the inside of a shower head?
    Community Answer
If it is a removable one, remove it and add baking soda to the inside of it BEFORE putting it in the vinegar.
  • Question
How do I remove the nozzle assembly from the head of the faucet?
    Community Answer
Grab the shower head and rotate it clockwise. If there is a joint between the shower head and faucet, turn that joint clockwise while holding the shower head.
  • Question
Can apple cider vinegar also be used to clean the shower head?
