    How to construct an octagon with a diameter of 2.5 cm?

    Draw the base AF of length 2.5cm. From A as well as F, draw arcs of length 2.5cm intersecting at O. Move the compass at O and draw a full circle with the same measurement. With the compass at A, draw an arc cutting the circle creating the next vertex at B. Now move the compass at B and cut an arc on the circle creating the vertex C. Continue doing so, till the hexagon is formed.
