Can I chat on Facebook without entering a phone number?

Yes, you can. But if you have Messenger uninstalled on your phone, you will have to enter a phone number. It can connect to your phone, and you can call and chat with that respective person through your phone. You could install Messenger; you don't have to put your phone number in your profile.

I downloaded Facebook, but I want to use my old one. How do I do that?

If there is no account saved in that device and you want to open your account in that device, you have to Sign In (the old account) in that device. If you already have an account in that device, you have to Sign Out from that device and Sign In your old account in that device. If you have downloaded another Facebook app and you want to use your old app, you may have to uninstall the new app.

Click on Settings, then Blocking; now you're on the Manage Blocking page. Scroll down to choose to block game invites, app invites, etc. If you block game invites from friends, they won't know.
