They also use a portrait window on the side of the note, a portrait watermark and a security thread in the middle, which can be seen in direct light. By tilting the banknote, you can see several holograms. Moreover, the banknote looks different in several conditions, such as under UV light.

    If you are looking at the front and these "Chinese characters" are on the upper left, and if you are looking at the back and they are on the upper right, these are not Chinese characters, they are partial prints of the denomination of the bill, if you hold it up to the light, this will show the full numerical denomination.

    If these "Chinese characters" are on the upper left on the front and the upper right on the back, these are not Chinese characters. They are partial prints of the denomination of the bill. If you hold it up to the light, the full numerical denomination will show.
