  • Question
How do I hide my chest?
    Community Answer
You can purchase a chest binder, or wear looser-fitting shirts. Crossing your arms in social situations can help camouflage a larger chest.
  • Question
What if my parents won't let me wear boys' clothing?
    Community Answer
The "boyfriend" style is what I am working with for my granddaughter, so I would try that. T-shirts and jeans, blazers, vests, button-up/"dress shirts", loafers, etc. are all made in women's clothing. As the tips that are given in the original article say, it's all about fit, so find those clothes in women's styles and see what you can come up with!
  • Question
What if my hair is longer than shoulder length but I don't want to give up my locks yet? What do I do?
    Community Answer
Maybe try hiding it under a beanie or a hoodie or a cap, but make the ends of your hair stick out so it looks like you have short hair and haven't just shoved it all in your hat.
  • Question
Why some girl wants to wear short hair, black clothes etc. when she can wear pink tutu skirts?
    Community Answer
Probably because that is how some girls like to dress up ... and you should not judge that opinion cause there are plenty on personal reasons to do so!
  • Question
I'd like to dress more masculine to formal events, but I don't want it to be too obvious. What are some loose-fitting formal masculine clothes I could get in the women's clothing section?
    Community Answer
Blouses and bowties are a great combination for more masculine tops, and woman's slacks also are a good option.
  • Question
I wanted to get a short haircut, but my mom would only let me get a semi-short, layered cut, so I still look very feminine but can't tie it into a ponytail either. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Maybe look up how guys do the shoulder length hair. Remember that bangs are usually sideswept, and hair is generally sort of messy. The safest bet would be a simple man bun.

  • Question
Would a chain around the neck make me look more masculine?
    Community Answer
Yes, in the right situation with the right outfit it could. However, I would avoid necklaces and things with pendants, and stick with a simple chain. Gold or silver both work fine, but I personally believe that gold gives a more masculine look.

  • Question
How can I dress to look more lesbian?
    Community Answer
Technically, ‘lesbian clothing’ is all relative. You can dress however you want and still be lesbian, but there are some things considered lesbian clothing to a lot of people. Try wearing stuff like an oversized floral men’s shirt (like your stereotypical dad vacation shirt) and shorts, or something like a sports bra and an low side tank top with short hair works, depending on the ‘lesbian style’ you want to go for. A plain tee with flannel and skinny jeans is one of my favorites, beanies and baseball caps work well with that kind of style etc. Just search up lesbian style on google or Pinterest, and find something you like. There are a lot of ways to accomplish that style.
  • Question
My mom won't let me cut my hair. Is there any way to make my hair look short?
    Community Answer
If your hair is about shoulder length, tie it up and put it into a ponytail, then hide it under a hat. If you do this, however, you need to retie it about once or twice every six hours.
