    Expert Answer
Try not to get caught in the trap of wearing clothes that are too big. Some people like to hide in clothes that are larger, but larger clothes, no matter what size you are, make you look bigger. That doesn't mean you should wear tight clothes—you want clothes that skim your body, are comfortable, and show your shape underneath.
  • Question
When wearing jeans, should I wear low waist or high-waisted jeans with a t-shirt?
    Community Answer
I prefer high-waisted jeans. They seem to hold everything in better, but if the seams aren't soft, they can dig into you and that hurts like heck.
  • Question
Why do pants slip down from the waist?
    Community Answer
Imagine putting pants on the bottom half of a basketball. It'll slide down! If you have a large belly, a similar effect occurs because you get narrower from the stomach down. Wearing suspenders is an easy solution. Wearing high-waisted pants is another solution.
  • Question
I have man-boobs, of which I am embarrassed. How can I dress to minimize bounce and swing?
    Community Answer
Wear a tighter undershirt to create a compression effect. Then wear a thin outer layer if you are worried about being hot.
  • Question
How can I dress if almost all the weight is in my stomach (like a small beer gut)?
    Community Answer
High-waisted pants are a great option. Wear these with an oversized t-shirt and you'll look fine. Just stay away from short, tight fitting pieces and try to avoid tucking in your shirts.
  • Question
Can chinos with a blazer be worn by chubby men?
    Community Answer
It can make your stomach overhang a lot. I would suggest black regular pants so you can tuck your stomach in.
  • Question
How do I prevent my pants from slipping down when dressing as an overweight man?
    Community Answer
Suspenders are your best friend! They can be both timeless and trendy, and they are very comfortable. Go for more modern suspenders with wide straps and bold colors to avoid them looking too old-fashioned.
  • Question
Should I tuck my stomach under in my pants, or have it overhang outside my pants?
    Community Answer
Outside. Tucked-in tummies will always look unfashionable, whether it is slimming or not. Use a compression undershirt to give your belly a nice solid shape and curve. Keeping your lines smooth and clean will immediately make you look better, more fit and confident.
  • Question
It is nearly impossible to not have my stomach hugely overhang my pants and even more so under a shirt. How can I not have my stomach overhang uncovered?
    Community Answer
I like to use a long compression tank top tucked into my pants. Not only does that avoid embarrassing stomach slips, your shirt tends to "cling" to the undershirt fabric and not ride up as much!
  • Question
How can I prevent my huge stomach from completely overhanging my body when I sit down? Also, how can I prevent my pants from slipping down when I sit?
    Community Answer
Honestly, there isn't much that will stop the overhang. A good compression tank top will help, but the biggest key for dressing as a bigger guy is not hiding your size, but more presenting your size as power and strength. Well-tailored clothing and overall caring about your appearance will change people's perspective from you being a "fat man" to being a "big man". As for the pants, suspenders are your friends; just make sure to keep your fashion simple and modern!
  • Question
Should I tuck my stomach in my shorts and pants, or let it overhang?
    Community Answer
I would say let it overhang. Nothing looks worse or more old-fashioned than high-waisted pants on a guy.
  • Question
I am 5'10", 615 lbs, 72" at the waist. I cannot lose weight because I am a truck driver and get no exercise. Where can I buy clothes?
    Community Answer
DXL men's big and tall store would be a good place to start. Or maybe find yourself a tailor.
  • Question
Should I tuck my shirt in over my stomach or let my stomach over hang my pants while it's covered?
    Community Answer
Tuck it in. Overhang looks out of proportion and emphasizes your stomach. Look at pictures to see the difference, Overhang looks sloppy.
  • Question
How to look good in a suit and tie?
    Community Answer
Depending upon your silhouette, the suit should be well tailored to make it flatter the body shape. Invest in good quality fabric and get it tailored from a good seamstress or tailor who will shape it your body and make it fit perfectly.
  • Question
What trousers/jeans are ideal if you have thick thighs?
    Community Answer
Absolutely, according to your comfort, you could wear anything. If you are bit insecure about the thighs though, then wear trousers or jeans that are not too tight around the thighs. Invest in chinos or boyfriend/regular jeans. Skinny fit or jeans are a big no if you don't want the thighs to be emphasized.
