    Expert Answer
You can exfoliate as often as every other day. Just be sure to avoid abrasive scrubs, and follow up with a lip balm to moisturize and hydrate your lips as soon as you finish scrubbing them.
  • Question
Will normal sugar do instead of brown sugar?
    Community Answer
Yes, but make sure that you don't scrub too hard. White sugar tends to have bigger grains than brown sugar. Your lips will be more sensitive compared to other parts on your skin, so a larger grain size might be too harsh. If you scrub lightly though, you shouldn't encounter any problems.
  • Question
How do l make my lower lip pink and moisturized?

  • Question
Can you scrub your lips with just brown sugar, or do you really need honey, too?
    Community Answer
You could use just brown sugar, but adding honey will soften your lips, plus it will help the sugar stick together.
  • Question
What can I use instead of honey?
    Community Answer
Try coconut oil. It is very moisturizing.
  • Question
How long does it take to make lips plump by doing this?
    Community Answer
You should have temporary effects right after some of these, such as 5 minutes of lip scrubbing. However, for permanently plumper lips, you will have to regularly do these for 2-3 months to see improvement.
  • Question
Are there alternatives to honey and olive oil when you're making a lip scrub?
    Community Answer
There are plenty! You can use other oils like almond, jojoba, peanut, argan, coconut, and you could use things like liquid glucose or rice syrup in place of honey. Vaseline works, but let it down with a single drop of hot water or some type of oil to make it more malleable.
