Try to walk and hike as much as possible to tone the different muscle groups in your legs. I would also recommend single-leg squats and single-leg deadlifts for a good workout.

Nothing reduces leg size as much as running. Marathon runners have very skinny legs and run 10 or more km each day. If that doesn't appeal to you, just try to do 45-60 minutes of jogging, elliptical, fast cycling or skipping five to six days a week.

Exercises will only build muscle, which will tone and shape the thigh. Eating a calorie reduced diet and exercising at a sustained elevated heart rate for 150 minutes per week is the only healthy way to lose fat.

I'm 15 years old, and when I see my friend's skinny legs I feel so jealous because my legs are huge. I just want to have thin legs like her. Any suggestions?
    Community Answer
You can try the suggestions in this article to get slimmer, but it's best not to compare your legs to your friend's. Everyone's body is different depending on their genetic history, metabolism, lifestyle, skeletal structure, etc. Some people have naturally skinny legs no matter what they do, and other people naturally have more muscle and/or fat. Having more muscle on your legs can make you stronger and less likely to get hurt, and some people think curvier legs are more attractive anyway. Eat healthy food and stay active to reach your body's unique potential and don't worry if you look different than your friend. We all have different bodies, that's part of what makes us interesting.
