Are you using moisturizer? You always need to use a good moisturizer after your toner and/or other products. If your skin is not moisturized well, it can overcompensate by producing excess oil. It can take a few tries to find a moisturizer that works well for your skin. The same can go for face wash and toner. And if you'd like to reduce the appearance of your pores, exfoliating can help; using products with AHAs and BHAs is particularly effective.

There are all kinds of beauty products made with all kinds of ingredients. In general, they should be good for your skin, not bad for it, but some people have sensitive skin and may need to avoid certain ingredients. If you find that you have an allergic reaction or other bad reaction to products with a certain ingredient, avoid products with that ingredient. Using natural, unscented, or hypoallergenic products may also work for some people. If your skin is prone to acne, be sure to use a good acne product, such as one with salicylic acid, and use noncomedogenic beauty products.
