If you hear something that's interesting to you, try to write a story about it from a different angle. Also, the same goes if you see something interesting on TV or in real life, try writing about if from a perspective other than the way you saw it.

How to get good grades in creative writing?
    Haley DiF
    Community Answer
Firstly, submit your assignments on time. Put as much effort into them as you can. If you do poorly, review the feedback that the teacher gives you. If they don't give you feedback, then ask them how you can improve. Writing is a learning process, so you need to practice to get better.
  • Question
How can I find the genre that best suits me?
    Addy Leonardi - Student
    Community Answer
Finding the genre that best suits you depends on your personal preferences. Don't force yourself to write science fiction or fantasy if you don't like writing them. You don't really have to like to read a specific genre to like to write it, although that does help. Writing and reading are all about going somewhere else and experiencing something new or impossible, so whichever one gets you there the fastest is probably what you should do.
