QuestionMy computer won't set up! What can I do?Community AnswerYou can try to manually find the drivers online for your specific model of DVD drive. The model number or type should be on a sticker on the side or top of the drive. Also, it helps if the DVD drive has support for whatever OS you are using. There is most likely a list online for your specific drive showing what OS(s) support it.

QuestionMy computer doesn't recognize my DVD any longer. It shows up nowhere, not in Device Manager or BIOS. What should I do?Aditya TelangCommunity AnswerOpen your system and check the power and data cable of the drive, which may be loose or damaged. In rare cases, the drive itself may have a damaged board, in which instance you'd need to replace the drive with a new one.

QuestionI'm trying to run a disk, but if I run it, my computer freezes up until I take the disc out. It's not a virus, but it's some pictures. I repaired the disk drive as well. Help?Rudy TothCommunity AnswerYou perhaps need more memory to handle that job! I don't know what kind of a computer you might have? But I think your system needs higher memory boards and speed to handle the affair. It's easy to install the new DVD drive along with the software of video codecs.

QuestionAm installing Dell external USB slim DVD player to my HP computer. Eventually it asks "do I want to make changes to device, yes or no, what do I do?Rudy TothCommunity AnswerDo you still have all of your installation instructions for the drive itself? What the computer usually does when you add an external drive, that it should automatically advance the drive to be assigned to a another drive letter. For example: The old diskette drive was aka "A:\" drive to the hard drive which is known as the "C:\" drive. The internal disc drive would be known as the "D:\" drive. Now when you install and external drive, it should automatically advance that drive to either "E:\" or "F:\" drive right down the alphabet. Mine at the time automatically advanced to the "F:\" drive when I installed a external DVD burner.
