    Community Answer
Yes. I was 8 years old when I first started hip-hop dancing, self-taught and I just made up moves as I went along. I'm 16 now and really flexible as well. I'd just advise you to look up Autumn Miller throughout her years as a dancer, she will inspire you and possibly even help you

  • Question
I am 12 years old, I really want to be great dancer, but I don't know what to do since I'm a beginner I feel like I need experience like first interning ballet then move on to hip hop. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Start with dancing fundamentals: technique, stamina, focus, etc. Dancers you see on Instagram and other social media aren't the epitome of good dancing. Dancing is so vast and focusing on that small style of dance and only that won't help you. You need to get a little taste of everything to be able to adapt better and be more confident and be able to expand your horizons. If you take dance classes, start with ballet and jazz your first year and maybe add on a hip hop class or two the next year, and tap if you're able.
