Build awareness around where your attention is going. Where are the hours in your day going? If you're spending hours browsing social media or watching the news, you're actually spending your energy on things that can be overwhelming. Instead, pause and think about where you can spend your energy that will actually make you feel good.

    Yes, you can.
  • Question
How can I be minimalist when I'm worried about wasting items that I don't use (extra perfumes, clothes, sentimental items, etc.)?
    Community Answer
If you give items away to charity, children, family, friends, or people in need, the items will not be wasted. It's also a good idea from now on to no longer buy items that tend to get stockpiled in your home; learn to say "no" to yourself!
  • Question
How can a woman keep fewer clothes in her wardrobe?
    Christine Suarez
    Community Answer
Opt for dresses, as you don't need to think of pairing up upper wear with trousers, pants or skirts. Pare down your choice of clothing by choosing your top 3-10 outfits with which you can see yourself wearing for years. Choose classic designs and colours so you won't feel the need to add more to your wardrobe, usually in black, white and neutral colours. Clothes in blue or red will also be helpful to add colour to your choice or 2 other favorite colours will do. Some minimalists have only their favorite outfits in 3 colours as well as only 3-4 pairs of shoes. If you are a working woman, even a working mom, you can have 14-21 pieces max of working and everyday clothes. Quality beats quantity.
