They are not prepared in the basic needs of survival. You need water most importantly, shelter to keep you from the elements, and a means of obtaining food, which should include something to generate a fire.

How do I train animals to serve me?

It would be quite difficult to domesticate feral animals to do your bidding. However, if you put out food routinely for the animals sharing the woods with you and pose them no threat, they will at least view you as an ally over time, and visit routinely.
