Overalls can be simply paired with Chucks and a white T-shirt underneath. You can also add a plaid button-down shirt tied around your waist, wear a crew neck T-shirt of any color with one of the overall straps loose, or wear a crop top. During the colder months, slip on a turtleneck top.
  • Question
Is there any specific haircut for cowboys?
    Community Answer
Cowboys generally keep their hair short, but other than that, there is no specific style you have to use.
  • Question
    Could you add minimal makeup?
    Community Answer
    Yes.
  • Question
    How do I talk country?
    Community Answer
Start by using words like ain't and y'all. Drop the G from the ends of words such as something, nothing, sleeping, eating, etc. If you try to add a southern accent right away you will sound tacky, though one could be cultivated over time.
  • Question
How can I look country like Taylor Swift?
    Community Answer
Rock loose, wavy, but curly long hair. Wear a little wing of eyeshadow, and wear mostly white tank tops that are loose. Wear jeans and cowgirl boots or Uggs, and you're all set!
  • Question
Can Timberland boots or something else be worn instead of the full-on-cowgirl boots to look country?
    Community Answer
It's not the real deal, but of course some hunting, hiking or military style boots will help you look country without a pair of cowboy boots, especially for men.
  • Question
How can I start talkin' country right away, but not sound tacky?
    Community Answer
First off, you don't want to say things like y'all, howdy, and yeehaw. Those things will make you look and sound more like the fakes. Plus, don't try to make yourself sound like you have an accent, unless you really do. Guys should have a deeper sounding voice if they really want to sell it.
  • Question
I really want to be country and to be nicer but I’m like a city and country girl mix. How do I drop the city girl part?
    Grace Wright
    Community Answer
Start by not wearing super fancy clothes if you have them (for example, instead of heels, get boots). Don't be afraid to get dirty either. Listen to country music (Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia line etc.) and be confident! One smart person once said "believe you can do it and you're halfway there".
