Would this recipe/protocol allow me to create a top end type aftershave such as Creed or Diesel? That is, long lasting fragrance that smells amazing so that I can create my own brand?

If my alcohol is only 50%, is that enough to preserve the witch hazel?

Most witch hazels have a small amount of rubbing alcohol in them already, and are shelf-stable. The parts of your aftershave that will go bad are the oils (can go rancid) and any sugars that could be in the other ingredients (bacteria and mold). Drinkable alcohols often have added sugar for taste - I would avoid these for topical use but sugars can make your skin smoother, it depends on your own body chemistry. If oils going rancid is a concern, try mixing the aftershave base separately and only adding a drop of essential oils or vitamin E oil to a small amount that will be used up within a month.
