  • Question
Is it easier for famous people to make friends than non-famous people?
    Community Answer
It is generally easier for a famous person to make FAKE friends. When you're famous, people want to be friends with you because of the fame and the fortune. If you are not famous, you are more likely to find true, genuine friends.
  • Question
How can I make a celebrity fell in love with me at a meet & greet?
    Community Answer
You can't. You can be as nice as possible and try to impress them, but you can't make anyone fall in love with you at any point, even a celebrity.
  • Question
How do I talk to famous people on Facebook? Message?
    Community Answer
Sending a message would be good, or maybe a video to capture their attention. Don't expect a lot though, as celebrities often don't reply.
  • Question
Should I present a song to a celebrity?
    Community Answer
Sure, they'd probably like that. If you're doing it in person, though, try not to take up too much of their time. Maybe just sing one verse instead of the whole song.
  • Question
How do I become friends with a famous artist on Instagram? I am an artist too, but I'm not famous, so they might ignore me.
    Community Answer
DM this artist and say that you do art too. Don't say things like "I was inspired by your art and would love to have your skills," instead, be more friendly. Act more like you're reaching out to an old friend. You could even ask if they'd want to collaborate sometime.
  • Question
How can I get my favorite celebrity to accept my invite on Google Hangouts?
    Community Answer
You could try sending him or her a request--just one, though. If you send the celebrity multiple requests, you may end up looking desperate. Be very patient and wait for the celebrity to reply; they tend to be very busy people. Keep in mind that not all celebrities reply to message and requests, so don't get discouraged if yours gets ignored or rejected; it's nothing personal.
  • Question
How do you get them to know you better if you can't add them on Facebook?
    Community Answer
Try adding them on other social media platforms, like Instagram or Twitter.
  • Question
How do I become friends with someone famous? Not an A list celebrity, people with 30k, etc.
    Community Answer
The best way is to do a little research if you already haven't on the person you are trying to become friends with. Then just email, tweet, or Facebook them and send a message stating how big of a fan you are and have some facts so you could so that you agree with some of their opinions that they have on certain subjects, depending on what you find while researching.
  • Question
What if I try these things but they do not work?
    Community Answer
Keep trying to get in touch, but try not to expect too much. Famous people are usually very busy, so they may never respond, or it may take a really long time.
  • Question
How do I make sure a celebrity adds me back on Snapchat?
    Community Answer
You can't really "make" a celebrity add you on any social media platform. You just have to cross your fingers and hope they do.
  • Question
How do I befriend a youtuber?
    Optimus223

  • Question
I might go to a meet and greet of my favorite celebrity, and also a photo opportunity. I want to write a letter or something, and give it to her when I see her. Would that start something?
    Rucha Naik
    Community Answer
Celebrities constantly get fan mail. The only way to start 'something' is if you write about how they are important to you and what they do is inspirational to you and that you look up to them. Try to remain calm during the meet and greet so that you don't seem like the regular overexcited fan.
  • Question
How do I make myself stand out from the crowd to grab their interest?
    Community Answer
Don't act like a fangirl/fanboy around them. Try to play it cool. Talk to them like they are a friend you speak to every day. This will probably attract their attention.
  • Question
Can I befriend a celebrity who is 10 years older than me?
    Community Answer
If you can relate or know each other well, then yes.
  • Question
My mom won't let me use social media even though I am a teenager. How can I become friends with someone famous without using social media?
    Community Answer
Using social media will only allow you to see famous people's posts, not become their actual friends. You shouldn't be trying to become friends with famous people, anyway. No one likes or respects people who spend their time trying to meet famous people. It's really shallow.
  • Question
How could I get a relationship with a celebrity and become really good friends?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
The same way as with anyone else: you have to hang out together, chat, talk, listen, spend time, open up, get to know them and let them get to know you. Of course, the celebrity has to want to get to know you, too. It's not that you're not worth it, of course; it's that celebrities have thousands of fans who would love to be able to say "We're friends", but what's in it for the celebrity? If you can put aside the celebrity thing and take an interest in the other person's true self, that is worthwhile. As to how to initially get to the celebrity, you could get famous yourself, or get lucky.
  • Question
What if the celebrity is in a different country but I want to meet them?
    Community Answer
Wait until they come to your country or a country near yours and travel there.
  • Question
I befriended a famous person. Not a celeb but a popular YouTuber. She follows me and we video chat often. She said yes to meeting up in California, but not at her house. How do I make this happen?
    Community Answer
Well, if you are under the age of 18, first let your parents know. Then if they allow you to go, pick a place that both of you would enjoy going, maybe somewhere equidistant from your house and hers (if you also live in California), and make plans to meet up!
  • Question
My favorite celebrities don't live in my country, and I don't have money to travel. How do I meet them?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
If you can't go to them, you'll have to wait for them to come to you. Check out their schedules online; maybe they'll go on a tour that includes your country, which will be your chance to meet them.
  • Question
What if you don’t have social media except for YouTube, and their comments are blocked?
    Kasey Alexanders
    Community Answer
Then talk to your parents about it. Famous people have many followers and fans so it is not likely that they will become friends with you, but don't give up.
  • Question
What if the celebrity already knows you but they know you as a fan? Is there still a chance of becoming friends with them?
    Jimins Jams
    Community Answer
Yes, try to DM them on Instagram and tell them that you have met before and wanted to say hi. I once tried this and it worked... but be patient. If they reply, try to make small talk. But don't be surprised if they don't reply, they probably don't trust such messages as they're bound to receive many such messages and not all of them would be the truth.
  • Question
How to make them notice me on tiktok?
    Community Answer
You need to make an effort by providing things that interest people. For example, you could try to make a video and tag people. Then be patient or ask people to comment if they liked it. Keep being interesting and fun and people will eventually notice you; it's not something that happens without effort.
  • Question
There is this guy that I am a huge fan of. He added me back on Snapchat, and I asked to be his friend, and he said sure, but I think he was just trying to be polite. How do I make him actually like me?
    Jimins Jams
    Community Answer
Be very polite, and be yourself. And be patient you can’t really force him to like you; you need to behave like a person he'd like to know.
  • Question
What should I do if I already tried a lot but it didn't work and I really want to make friendships with the celebrity?
    Ana S.
    Community Answer
Celebrities are surrounded by people and fans 24/7. The likelihood that an average person who does not have mutual connections with the celeb, work in the same industry or live in the same vicinity of the celeb becoming friends with them is very low. Move on and make friends from people you see and are around daily.

    Sue Howard
    Community Answer
By all means, yes, tag them. They may really like it. In your caption, you could try something like - "I have made this for you, I would really like your opinion," (then tag). Always be open to whatever results or answers they may give, Remember that they have their own likes and dislikes.
  • Question
How do I become friends with someone who’s popular on social media and who I like?
    Sue Howard
    Community Answer
Be yourself, participate on their actual fan page and/or join their fan pages. You can also message their inbox, use a common interest you both have but don't be pushy and overact on your liking them, as they get that all the time.
  • Question
I am friends with them, in a way, but they never start a conversation with me, and we barely talk. Sometimes I try to start a conversation but they don't answer. What should I do?
    Sue Howard
    Community Answer
You can always find a common interest and try to strike up a conversation with them, or ask about their day, pet, or a movie, etc. They may be in. But always be yourself and never fabricate, be original. Humor sometimes works as well. Most of all, be patient, as most have very busy lives.
