Well, you could try making some tassel ghosts out of yarn. Cutting out bats from black construction paper and hanging them on paper is pretty simple too! If you get some 2x4 from a lumber store, you could cut that into small blocks, paint it to look like pumpkins, then glue wine corks on top for the stems. If you're feeling extra crafty, you can purchase four-inch wall or floor tiles and paint pumpkins, bats, ghosts, and the like onto them with enamel paint for seasonal coasters.
