Typically you can find the clips/scenes you want on YouTube and use a YouTube to MP4 site, but these are usually lower quality. If you want the highest quality sites such a nyaa.si or even the pirate bay will work just fine. Keep in mind that to download the files from those website you will need uTorrent.

AMV's, or Anime Music Videos, do not require a "filming location", the product is already completed. An AMV takes the completed product and transforms it into something new. As for finding a subject, choose an anime you like (or is really popular), and edit it together to a song you like (or is really popular), and you've got an AMV.
