  • Question
What do I do if I don't see an "About" or email tab on someone's YouTube page?
    Community Answer
Try adding "/about" in the url after the user's channel name when you're on their profile, and the "About" page should show up with the "send message" button.
  • Question
Can other people see my messages?
    Community Answer
Not if you use any of these methods! Other people can view comments, but these messages are private messages, like a personal text message between you and a friend. If you wanted to share a conversation, you could screenshot the messages and post it online or in a video, or you could just show a friend on the device you are using.
  • Question
What should I do if none of these work?
    Community Answer
Try adding "/about" in the url after the user's channel name when you're on their profile, and the "About" page should show up with the "Send message" button.
  • Question
I tried adding '/about' after the channel name in the url, but I'm still not seeing a send message button. What should I do?

    Community Answer
The messaging service through this method has been discontinued. You'll need to find the messaging tab or button on YouTube, then press copy by the link (add friend link) then paste it to whoever you want to send it to.
  • Question
Where is the report button located on YouTube?
    Community Answer
It is found right under the stats in the About Tab of the YouTube channel. It is in the same place you would find the message button.
