  • Question
How hot should the water be to soak the bottle?
    Community Answer
The water doesn't have to be too hot. Just turn your tap to the warmest temperature it will go to, and use that. You do not need to boil the water or anything.
  • Question
What if the cap comes off but the nail polish is sealed?
    Community Answer
That happens to me often. I screw the cap back on really tight, and try to open it again. It always works.
  • Question
My nail polish is still stuck. What now?
    Community Answer
Put it in hot water and leave for 15 minutes. Dry it, then use a sweatshirt to twist the cap open. If that doesn't work, use a sharp knife to scrape the dried nail polish from underneath the cap. Then it should work.
  • Question
Can I open stuck nail polish bottles with my teeth?
    Community Answer
Try all other methods first. It is not good for your teeth and some of the nail polish may get in your mouth, which is probably not a good for you.
  • Question
What if my brush can't move?
    Katyyyy
    Community Answer
You can dip it in nail polish remover to break down the dry nail polish. Just don't leave it in too long, because the brush can dry out. Leaving it in for about 3 minutes should be fine.

  • Question
None of these have worked. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Put the bottle in hot water upside down, so that the cap is on bottom, and leave it in there for 10- 20 minutes. If that doesn't work try using a rubber band. Tie the band around the cap and use the band for grip.
  • Question
What happens if the Q-tip can't fit between the bottle and the lid?
    Community Answer
It may work pretty well without the Q-tip. Try the water, then sticky tape.
  • Question

    Community Answer
Perhaps put it under hot water, which makes it open better. Make sure that your hand and the cap are dry, to ensure good grip.
  • Question
What do I do if there's dried polish stuck to my skin and cuticle?
    Community Answer
First, rub sweet almond oil or jojoba oil into your cuticles (including the one with nail polish). Now, use nail polish remover or acetone on the polish that's on your cuticle. If you have no remover, you can fill a bowl with hot water, add jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, or olive oil, and the nail polish might melt enough for you to get it off.
