  • Question
The 25mm black plastic bases don't seem to hold the paint very well. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Try covering it in a different substance, such as air dry clay, then paint it.
  • Question
Would this work when painting toy army men?
    Community Answer
Yes, as long as you apply primer to them first.
  • Question
Should I put on decals after I shade?

    Community Answer
No do it as the last step. Some people add a varnish (only for plastic miniatures not for wood) to their miniatures as the last step, this protects the miniature from scratching, dust and other such things. Put your decals on before the varnish. Make sure the water you used to apply the decals is dry.
  • Question
Why use acrylic paint? Why not Citadel?

Citadel paints are a brand. Regular acrylic paints are called heavy body acrylics. Heavy body acrylic paints are meant for larger-scale applications where the paint should be applied in one thick coat. The paints that Citadel makes are soft body acrylic paints. Soft body acrylic paints are designed for small-scale applications and have a smaller pigment size compared to heavy body acrylics. They are also designed to be thinned down with water and applied using two thin coats. Soft body acrylics are what should be used when painting Warhammer figures.
