  • Question
Where should I flick the "ball" to make a field goal -- bottom, top or middle?
    Community Answer
It's between the bottom and middle. It's all about getting enough practice and a sweet spot on the paper football to flick it.
  • Question
    How do you flick well?
    Community Answer
Using your thumbs and index finger, give it a fair amount of energy, and sometimes it is about luck.
  • Question
How many players can there be in table football?
    Community Answer
I play table football with one other person, usually a friend. Unless each side had "reserves" and took turns, there are usually just two players.
  • Question
Do you have any tips for how to kick the paper football better?
    Community Answer
Do finger-strength exercises such as bending your fingers multiple times a day or practice gripping a pencil.
  • Question
How do I tackle or get someone down in the game?
    Community Answer
In paper football, there is no defense. You wait for your opponent to score or fail to score.
  • Question
What if the table football falls off the table? How many attempts do we have?
    Community Answer
I play by downs, like in real football. So if I was at third down and I hit it too hard, we would make it fourth down.
  • Question
Why does the football have to be at the edge of the table for a touchdown?
    Community Answer
Because real touchdowns happen at the ends of the field.
  • Question
Could someone get an eye injury playing this game?
    Community Answer
Probably. But unless you're purposely aiming directly at someone's eye, it would be a million to one shot.
  • Question
    How competitive is paper football?
    Community Answer
If you are playing a mini tournament, it can get a little bit competitive. But usually you just play it for fun.
  • Question
What does it mean to "lightly tap it forward with your index and middle fingers?" How do I do that?
    Community Answer
This means to flick it with a fair amount of energy, so it can easily go through the goalposts.
  • Question
What paper is best to use when playing paper football?
    Community Answer
The best one is printer paper. Construction paper will just be too hard to fold and will be too thick.
  • Question
How many chances do I get to try to get a touchdown in paper football? How are kickoffs done?
    T Anthony Taylor
    Community Answer
Kickoffs are performed by the kicking team placing the paper football at the edge of the table with a portion of the pointy end extending over the edge. Then, with a hand motion, drive the paper football down field with a slap. The distance simulates a kickoff with a return. If it goes off the table, the receiving team returns the football in the same manner; if not, the return team plays the ball where it comes to rest.
  • Question
How do you intercept the ball?
    Parker Jensen
    Community Answer
You cannot intercept the ball in table football, as there is no defense. Wait for your opponent to kick off after scoring or failing to score.
