  • Question
I need to make a small rosary for a friend's mother, but I can't find instructions for how to lay out the beads. He said he wanted a Novena Rosary. Can you help?

I think if you talk to a priest, he could tell you how to arrange the beads.
  • Question
How do I find a list of prayers for the rosary?
    Steven Solheim
    Community Answer
Don't make it complicated. Just pray! Having a list just makes things impersonal and you may miss things that are on your heart. Start by giving thanks, then praise, then petitions. Don't forget to give him time to answer. Communication with God is a two-way street.
  • Question
Where is the rosary referred to in scripture?
    Community Answer
The rosary itself is not mentioned in the Bible. Instead, it is inspired by the greeting of Mary by the angel Gabriel when he told her of her immaculate conception. Another possible background story is that the rosary came after Mother Mary's visitation to Saint Dominic's. Saint Dominic is credited with coming up with details of the rosary as given by Mother Mary.
  • Question
How do I say a short Rosary? It has 10 beads all of the same size and one different bead after the crucifix.
    Community Answer
Those are just more compact Rosaries, usually intended to be used five times to say a whole Rosary. You can just use it to say one decade, though.
