QuestionHow can I seem like the bigger person when resolving an argument with a teacher or adult?Community AnswerApologize for the argument, even if you don't feel like you were entirely (or at all) at fault. Don't make excuses for your behavior. If you do this, the adult/teacher will respect you for your maturity.

QuestionI have had a major falling out with non blood relatives who constantly use my shed and trailer without asking. I don't know how to resolve this.Community AnswerYou need to firmly, but not harshly, tell them to not use your shed without asking. If they continue, then consider locks. If they choose to sever their relationship with you over something so frivolous, they are probably not the kind of people you need in your life anyway.

QuestionWhat should I do when someone is in an argument and I can't find ways to resolve it because the person always ends up finding something to say against that?Community AnswerBe the bigger person and end it yourself. Nobody is worth wasting your time doing something you believe is wrong.

QuestionI want to gain respect from my team as the manager but they are trying to deliberately overrule me. I have told them that it's spiteful but they don't care, how do I get them to listen to me and solve our issues?Community AnswerDon't ask for respect. If they are acting immature, ignore that aspect and instead, act confident and show them that you are a manager. Stop telling them what is wrong with their behavior toward you (it only shows them you're rattled) and instead start telling them how their attitude and behavior toward the task at hand is below par and lackluster (focus on what's expected of them, not their actions toward you). Then, give them the steps to improve their performance, along with deadlines and performance review parameters. If they act as if they're not following the tasks set, call them in individually and inform them that their work is subpar and that you are warning them as an individual of the need to improve. As a manager, you're not there to get their love, just their best performance.

QuestionI recently argued with my entire family and basically imploded. But now I feel to awkward to approach them. What should I do?Community AnswerTalk to them about it. If you just hide, it'll make the situation more awkward than it already is. Just talk them. It's okay to express your feelings. Running away from problems never makes them better.
