    You can - but since bacon is so fatty already, it's better to pan-fry it without extra fat, which technically is not sauteing. In fact, if you want to add bacon to a saute, you should cook the bacon first, remove it from the pan (add it back before serving), and then use the fat it releases to saute the ingredients.
