  • Question
What would the exact best time be to sneak out, if my parents stay up late?

    Community Answer
What time you sneak out depends on when your parents go to sleep. Try to wait about 30 minutes to an hour after your parents go to bed before sneaking out, or wait until they're definitely sound asleep.
  • Question
My door is so loud when I open the locks how do I keep it quiet?
    Emily Berger1
    Community Answer
If possible, try keeping your door partially open so you don't have to worry about the loud sound it makes when opening the locks.
  • Question
What do I do when you want to get away from your parents and home late at night but I have no place to go? I live in a city where nothing is open and there is nothing to do, and I have no friends.

Sometimes even just taking a walk outside is a good way to relieve some restlessness and get away from your family for a little while. Try spending some time in your backyard, on your front porch, or taking a stroll along a few streets.
  • Question
I am sneaking out to go to see a movie tonight, but my parents will not be in bed by the time it starts, so how do I basically get past them without getting caught?

    Community Answer
This is tricky--if your parents won't notice that you leave or won't check to see if you're in bed, it's possible to sneak past them by waiting until they're occupied in another room and walking very quietly out the door. If your parents are likely to notice that you left, you might want to try to go to a later movie showing to make sure you don't get in trouble.
