Rather than asking what the best learning approaches are for studying, try figuring out the best learning approaches for you specifically. Use studying as a self-knowledge exercise to see what actually works and what doesn't. For example, a very common practice is creating flashcards. Some people jump to it and love the idea of flashcards as a practical study tool. Others may resist flashcards. It's all a lesson in what works for you.

Try to create a schedule that fits your temperament. Some people really love getting up early, so they're going to do better with an early start to get all of their studying out of the way. Other people really need some sleep and may do better with a late start. The most important thing is finding the schedule that works for you as an individual as opposed to thinking there is one ideal schedule.

A study guide is an outline of material you should review for an exam or quiz. Your instructor may provide you with a study guide. You may also make your own to help yourself stay on track.
  • Question
How can I enroll in online courses?
    Community Answer
Simply search the internet for the desired course. There are established platforms like Coursera, edx and Udemy that give out most of their courses for free (free without certificates, you can always pay for them though). There are many tutorials on YouTube also, just search for some topic and you might end up finding a whole channel for the concerned subject.
  • Question
How do I learn more from my online classes?
    Community Answer
The key is persistence and not getting distracted. Personally, keeping goals like I won't eat until I finish 4 hrs of lectures today, help a lot. Write everything. Make notes as if you're in an actual class. Keep writing your doubts to the instructor by mail. Take a variety of classes for same subject. This may end up leaving you confused in some aspects, but you'll gain a lot more knowledge from it.
