  • Question
Is it possible to get creases out of the tint?

    Community Answer
It depends on how bad they are. Some can be worked out with a credit card, for others nothing can be done and you will have to start over.
  • Question
Do I need to affix the window film on both sides of the window, or only on one side? If so, inside or outside?
    Community Answer
One side, inside. If you want it to look decent I suggest watching a YouTube video on the subject. If you want it done well, just pay someone who does it for a living; it's only about $100 - 200.
  • Question
What if I don't have the tools?
    Community Answer
Hire someone who does. The ownership of the proper tools is part of the reason everybody doesn't do it themselves, and is what makes the installer a professional.
  • Question
Does the tint come in various shades? How dark can it get?
    Community Answer
Yes. There are many different shades and colors available. The darkest tint is 5% and completely conceals the inside from people looking at it from the outside, but anyone inside the car can see outside the window. There is a limit to how much tinting is appropriate on front windows, since very dark windows can impair the view from both inside and out. Laws for front window tinting vary between different states and countries but tinted windows always have to be light enough that someone from the outside can see through it.
  • Question
Why do front windows have to be light?
    Community Answer
At night, very dark windows are hard to see through and make it hard to see the road. Windshields can have tint on them, but only at the very top. The big middle window at the very back also has to be light because you need to be aware of traffic behind you. The only area where you can use very dark tinting is on the back seat windows.
