You can also seal up all of the entry points in your house. Any openings that they could fit through must be fitted over with a quarter-inch mesh screen. And of course, you must also cover up any vents in your attic. Once you have sealed everything up, the pigeons inside will have no choice but to make an exit and won't be able to get back inside. This time, pigeons will have no choice but to relocate to a different nesting area.

I have been catching pigeons in some cages for about a week and now they have stopped going into the cages. Can you tell me why?

Maybe the remaining pigeons have learned to associate those cages with danger (being caught, cooped up, taken away, etc.), so they no longer want to come close to them.

My pigeon is a banded pigeon, I want to go near it and even tried catching it a few times but she wouldn't let me go near her. What do I do?
    Community Answer
Try getting a large dog crate and feeding the bird inside the crate. Once the bird is used to it, try closing the door while the pigeon is eating, then you can relocate the bird.
