How can I turn off family protector controls without it notifying my parents?

The way Windows 10 works is that the parental controls are held on the online MS (Microsoft) account, not the local account. So, just go into Settings, Accounts, then Sign in with a Local Account. Enter your username and password, and select all parental controls off. Your parents will not get an email!

With out the password you can’t remove the restrictions, sorry. A computer will be needed to reset and restore the phone.

When the 3DS/2DS asks for a passcode, answer with "I forgot." Do the same with the secret question. It will give you an enquiry key. Search for "3ds master key generator." Use the master key it gives you. Turn off all the parental control settings.

My parents have put Ask to Buy on my IOS 14 iPhone XS and I thought as soon as the age my parents put (12) changed to 13, it would stop restricting the apps I download. How do I momentarily turn it off?

On iOS, you cannot 'Temporally' Disable Restrictions. However, you can use Method 2 to change the password, then re-enable it. If you want to avoid trouble, you might want to talk to your parents about possibly reducing or lifting the restrictions. Refer to Method 1 for more information.

My daughter passed in December, and we now have custody of our granddaughter. There is a parental control on her phone limiting her to 2 hours daily, and we would like to modify or remove it. How do we do that?

You will have to reset the phone if you don't know the PIN. Back up the phone to a PC and then reset it. This will remove the parental controls and they can then be set up fresh.
