Go to the left side of the screen where the palette is located. If the palette is not visible go to the top bar where it says 'view' and find and click palette. Find 'Articulations and Ornaments' and click the arrow which will open a drop down menu. The staccato will be in the second row, third column. Just look for the single black dot. Hovering over each individual ornament will reveal it's name if you cannot find it.

Find 'Palette' on the left side of your screen, and if you do not have that, go to 'View' at the top and find 'Palette'. Go to the Barlines section and select the arrow. The repeat sign will be under there. If you would like to do the repeat measure sign go to 'Repeats and Jumps' located under 'Palette' and click the arrow. The first sign will be the repeat measure sign.

  • Question
How do I create a chord on MuseScore?
    Community Answer
Select the measure you want the chord to be, press N, then find the space in the measure and select the duration you want the chord to be. Press the root note's key first (i.e. C), then press Shift + the second note you want in the chord (i.e. E). Repeat this process so you can add more, maybe G and Bb? If the note you pressed is in the wrong octave, press Shift + the up or down arrow.
  • Question
Is it possible to add a second verse or do I need to redo the whole score?

You can try adding a second verse or you can redo the whole score. But it is possible for notation, not for playback. There you've only the choice to tick/untick "play" inside the inspector for these notes (but will affect all repeats).
