  • Question
How can I keep my face from tanning in a tanning bed?
    Community Answer
Put sunscreen on your face, at least 35 SPF broad spectrum. This should keep it from tanning or burning.
  • Question
I went tanning for the second time for 7 minutes and burned bad! How many days should I wait to go back?
    Community Answer
Wait until the sunburn fades and isn't peeling. You should be able to put a hot hand on the sunburn without it turning hot.
  • Question
    Are these tanning beds safe?
    Community Answer
No, they are very unhealthy because they expose your skin to harmful ultraviolet rays that can cause cancer.
  • Question
Which is better or quicker––a bed or standing up?
    Community Answer
Standing up is quicker; you also get more done because the standing up works faster.
  • Question
I had basal cell carcinoma removal from my cheek 5 years ago. Can I use if I put sunscreen on my face?
    Community Answer
No! If you have had melanoma (skin cancer) or are at risk, it's not a good idea to tan at all. Sunscreen can protect you slightly, but if you're deliberately trying to tan, it's not going to help much at all. There's always spray tan if you want a golden glow, but your health and safety comes first.
  • Question
Does a stand-up sunbed tan your back and front or do you have to turn round halfway through?
    Community Answer
Yes, it'll tan you without having to turn at all during the time of using. Each side of the tanning bed has heating bulb's inside that get really hot, in order for you to get a good tan.
