If there are any protections for regular members against co-founders or a founder, these will likely be outlined in the Constitution or its bylaws/amendments. If a cofounder or founder causes you physical injury, financial hardship or is abusive, this could be prosecuted under law: you cannot sign your rights away in developed nations like the USA, which is governed by a supreme constitution which protects these rights, if that's what you're asking. However, most clubs don't have rules inherent in them to 'protect' other members from founding member(s), as the founder(s) will be heavily involved in writing of most constitutions.
