  • Question
How do I write a counseling proposal to apply for the position of a school counselor?
    Community Answer
What your question describes is really more of a job application than a counseling proposal. But if you are suggesting that the school needs to hire you, and your proposal is not in response to a job posting, then you may wish to follow the outline of a formal proposal. Explain to the school why they need a counselor, and why you believe that you are the best one for the job.
  • Question
How can I write a Formal Proposal when I'm starting a new company?
    Community Answer
In proper format use your name, address, phone number, job, interest about the job and experience.
  • Question
How can I create a project proposal for non-readers?
    Community Answer
I assume (hope) that you mean you have a proposal to teach reading, and not that you want to propose something to people who do not read. (That would be a real challenge.) Identify the problem as having too many individuals -- of whatever age group you wish to identify -- who cannot read. Then describe how you would solve the problem, what services you can provide, what it would cost, and why your solution is the best one to select.
  • Question
How can I write an event proposal for a band performance?
    Community Answer
Eventing is a tough industry and it depends on the event. Are you having entertainment, catering, sound, lights, etc.? Are you a promoter who is putting on a show? A corporate employee hosting a few clients? These are but a few examples. Always include your variables and expenses. You can't just hire a band, do advertising and pay a venue. You also need to account for the techs, sound and lighting, security, loaders/roadies, monitor techs, runner for stuff you forgot, catering for band, crew and staff, venue costs, advertising, the band's rider, tickets, merchandise, etc.
  • Question
How do I write a proposal for TV?
    Community Answer
I assume your question means that you wish to propose some programming ideas or new subjects for television scripts. This is a very different field than writing a formal business proposal. See the wikiHow article "How to Write and Pitch an Idea for a TV Show."
  • Question
How do I request money to finance my business proposal from a company or person?
    Community Answer
In general, follow the same steps as for any formal proposal. The "problem" is that you company needs money, and the "solution" is that your identified funding source can provide it for you. You need to explain why they should see value in your proposal and why funding your proposal makes sense for them.
  • Question
How would I write a formal proposal to the state legislature?
    Community Answer
The basic steps for writing a proposal, even to the state legislature, will be the same as outlined in this article. The only differences might be in knowing which legislator to address the proposal to. If you are writing on a specific topic, not in response to an RFP, then you should find out if any legislators sit on a committee that would deal with that topic, and address your proposal to them. You may even want to do some preliminary research into their political history regarding that subject.
