  • Question
Do you sign a complete article using ~~~~?
    Freyr
    Top Answerer
No, you should only sign talk pages on Wikipedia, which is the same as wikiHow. Since they're both wikis, more than one person will contribute to the articles. It isn't just the original author of the article who will add to it.
  • Question
Where do I write the article's title?
    Freyr
    Top Answerer
You don't need to write the title on the article. Once you know what you're writing about you should type it in to Wikipedia search and click 'create this article'. It will already have the title once you start writing it if you do that correctly.
  • Question
How long will it take to publish an article?
    Freyr
    Top Answerer
An article can be published straight away, before review, but it will be deleted or put into the draft space if it isn't at the right quality, or doesn't cite enough sources. You can start your article in the draft space then request that it be reviewed if you'd rather.
  • Question
How long does it take until a proposed article undergoes all checks and will be published?
    Pearlone
    Community Answer
Reviews generally take up to 5 months. The stronger an article is in terms of its sourcing, having enough words to cover the subject, and having the right tone, the greater the likelihood that it will be assessed faster. (In addition to being about a typical topic that already has others of its kind in Wikipedia - the first known Wikipedia article on a dress, for Kate Middleton's wedding dress, was nominated for deletion 16 minutes after it was first published!).
