Open your image in Gimp.

Select the healing tool.

    Click the bandage icon in the toolbox.

Press "Ctrl" as you select a clear piece of skin.

  1. Release Ctrl after you've clicked clear skin.
    This will be the basis for your healing.

Click the blemishes to remove them.

    Would you say this works better than Proactive and does it come with a free brush?

    This is completely different than Proactive as this is a computer program to remove the appearance of blemishes on photos. Proactive actually removes blemishes in real life.
