One of the many quick crimes you can do to earn some money in Grand Theft Auto 5 is robbing people at ATMs. This petty crime will earn you anywhere from $30-$120 dollars, as opposed to the usual $10-$20 you normally get from robbing pedestrians. You can't rob an ATM directly like you can a store clerk. However, you can rob pedestrians after they use an ATM. This will earn anywhere from tens to hundreds of dollars.     There are a lot of ATMs scattered all over the map. You’ll usually find ATMs near banks, gas stations, convenience stores, and other types of commercial establishments. Some ATMs are found at Xero Gas Station in Pacific Bluffs, west of Los Santos. There's one near a bank in Little Seoul at the downtown Los Santos, and at Fleeca Bank in Banham Canyon. [1]

    Once you find an ATM, wait for a few moments until a pedestrian walks up and uses the ATM. Do not attack the pedestrian while they are using the ATM. Wait until they are finished. [2]

    Once the pedestrian is through using the ATM, quickly get behind them and start trailing on their tracks. Follow the pedestrian until you no longer see any witnesses, or at least until there are no cops around that could arrest you.

    Once it’s all safe, take down the pedestrian that used the ATM. Your can either shoot them or beat them up. [3]

    Ambulances and cops will be arriving on the crime scene shortly after you’ve killed the pedestrian. Get back inside your vehicle and quickly drive out of the area to avoid getting apprehended.
