Do you need to change the outgoing mail server on your iPhone? If your emails aren't sending properly, you can easily fix the SMTP in your settings. This works for any email provider, including Outlook, Gmail, and more. Here's how to set the outgoing mail server on an iPhone.

- Open Settings .
- Tap Mail .
- Tap Accounts .
- Tap an account.
- Tap Account Settings and select SMTP .
- Tap Add Server to enter new SMTP information.

Open the Settings app. It’s a gray gear icon that will be on the Home Screen. If you don't see it there, you'll find it in the App Library.

Scroll down and tap Mail . You can find this underneath Passwords .Advertisement

Tap Accounts . This is in the middle of the page. You should see the number of accounts linked to your phone on the right side.

Tap the account you want to change. You'll see all your accounts listed underneath the Accounts header.
- If needed, you can add another account .

Tap SMTP . You can find this underneath the Outgoing Mail Server header.

Tap Add Server . This opens a new field into which you can type your SMTP server address.
- Each email provider, such as Outlook 365 , has a unique incoming and outgoing mail server address. You can usually find this by checking your email provider's website.

Enter the required information. Type your SMTP host name, username, and password.
- The username and password will be the same as those tied to your account. If you do not know the host name, then you will need to look it up or find it out from the provider. [1] X Research source
- It is worthwhile to learn the SMTP port, as well, since some internet service providers may block the default one.

Tap Save . This is in the top-right corner. Your settings will be saved, and your new SMTP server will be added to your email account.
