How to Install Word 2007
-
1Get a copy of Word 2007. Word 2007 is a part of Microsoft Office, so you'll need a Microsoft Office 2007 CD or DVD. If you don't already have an installation disc, you can usually find copies for sale on websites like eBay, Amazon , and other online marketplaces. - Always read a seller's reviews before making a purchase.
- Don't be tempted to buy a product key separately from the software, as these product keys are often stolen and may not work. [4] X Trustworthy Source Microsoft Support Technical support and product information from Microsoft. Go to source

2Insert the installation CD or DVD. If you have an optical drive, insert the Microsoft Office 2007 installation disc. The setup wizard should start automatically, but if it doesn't, open File Explorer , select your DVD drive under "This PC", and double-click the file called SETUP.EXE . - If you don't have a DVD-ROM drive, you have a few options:
- The easiest option is to buy an external USB DVD-ROM drive . You can get one in the $20 range from most electronics retailers.
- If you have a friend who has a computer with a DVD-ROM drive, you can use their computer to create an ISO image of the installation DVD or CD. Then, you can copy the ISO file to a USB flash drive, connect it to your computer, and mount the ISO image as a virtual DVD or CD.
- If you don't have a DVD-ROM drive, you have a few options:
-
3Enter the product key when prompted. The product key is the 25-digit numerical code typically found on the outside of the DVD or CD packaging. If you bought Office 2007 online, the product key might be in your email receipt.
-
4Follow the on-screen instructions to install Microsoft Office 2007. The installer will install Office products, including Word 2007, on your computer. Once the installation is complete, you'll be able to open Microsoft Office 2007 from the Start menu.
