For mothers who've either never used a stroller before, or ones who just need a little brushing up, this article can teach/reteach you these skills. Please keep these steps in mind, when pushing your little one around in that stroller.

Steps

    • Unlatch the hook that holds the stroller together.
    • Follow the manufacturer's directions. Most strollers take a circular motion to unfold them, but each manufacturer has different set up methods.
  1. Find and push down the little brakes with your foot. Apply firm pressure, until you hear the wheels click into position.

  2. This might include a diaper bag and/or pocketbook or whatever might be prudent enough to take with you.
    • Keep at least one spare pacifier in one of the cup-holders with the pacifier nipple facing upwards, so the holding ring rests the pacifier gently at the bottom and thereby creates a stand for the pacifier to rest on.
  3. The only strollers that don't contain sun visors are umbrella strollers [1]
  4. It will only be a brief couple of seconds from the time you position the child.
  5. Make sure their feet are through the t-shaped buckle area, and so their legs hang downwards a bit. You'll fix this feet area later .
  6. Locate the baby safety straps They will also look t-like but are generally cloth or some safety fabric along with two clickable "locking mechanisms" on both sides of the fabric.
    • Make sure they are is not twisted.
    • Make sure the stroller company's logo shows outwards.
  7. Insert the one end of the buckle into the front panel, and repeat the steps for the second side. Make sure they click into place.
  8. Put the tip of your shoe underneath the wheel locking mechanism and push upward. It may click, but may not be that loud, and may even sound like a "snap" to some.

      • If the parents of the child use a child-safe security "dog-style" "leash", make sure the leash is off, before you walk around to the back to begin pushing the baby. You can strangle the child. You may keep the "leash" on the baby as you secure the seat buckles, but remove the leash when you are ready to walk around to the back to push the stroller.
      • Never force a child to sit in a stroller that they don't wish to sit in. However, for their safety and security, you may override their actions in these cases only.
