Weaving the web of links (linking words) in wikiHow articles provides access to other articles that readers may find helpful. For example, if an article explains that exercising is beneficial for the topic of the article, linking to an article on How to Exercise can provide an article's worth of in-depth information that a step cannot easily cover. Weaving links also helps improve search engine ranks and page views of the linked articles. Before weaving links, read wikiHow's Internal Links Policy which explains good and bad linking. Links should make sense within the context of the wording around the link.

  3. If you do not get the wording of the article name and capitalization just right, it will not go to the article that you want. If the links are correct, they should appear green in Preview mode and open up to your chosen article when clicked.
