Name: Warren Breed: Golden owl Size: Large Color: Brown and gold Character’s Physical Age: Unknown Character’s Behavioral Age: Warren is the most well-respected and well-heeded animal in all the Kingdom of Forestia because of his just, direct way of dealing with issues and his seemingly never-ending well of wisdom and advice. He would best be described as having a very old soul; though his body doesn’t appear that old, his words and actions make it clear he’s been around a very, very long time. Personality Traits: Outside of his wisdom, Warren is something of a community leader. He has refused to assume any sort of direct leadership over the kingdom as long as he’s been around despite two different attempts to basically force him to be king. Some see the move as an act of conceit or attention seeking; however, those who know him know he simply has no desire for the bureaucratic nightmare of running a forest kingdom. He’s still always happy to dole out advice, and any disputes he mediates are generally resolved quickly because of the immense respect he has around the forest. Story importance: Though Warren dies early in the book, his importance is felt throughout the entire Forestia trilogy. After the character has some time to establish himself, he is assassinated by the evil, politically motivated snakes and wolves as a means of framing the more peace-loving deer, who have ruled the kingdom for decades.
