Lots of fluids: Up your intake of hydrating fluids, such as water, tea, and fruit juice. Licorice tea has been scientifically shown to increase blood pressure rates. Additionally, there is some evidence that caffeine can temporarily increase blood pressure rates, so it’s okay to reach for the coffee or black or green tea. It’s also a good idea to eat a lot of vegetables and fruit with high water content such as celery and melons. Foods high in vitamin B-12: Try eating more fortified cereals, beef, eggs, animal liver and kidneys, and tuna. Foods rich in folic acid: To get more folic acid in your diet, go for legumes, asparagus, eggs, leafy greens, bananas, avocado and broccoli. Foods high in potassium: Add in some potassium with bananas, citrus fruits, vegetables, legumes, and chia seeds. Salt: Add foods high in salt to your diet, such as canned soup, smoked fish, olives, and cottage cheese.
