To: rfairchild@email.com From: dcaterson@email.com Subject: Thinking of you Ricky, I just thought I would write and tell you how much I love you today and every day. When I'm going through my day-to-day, there are many things that make me think of you, and I thought you might like to know what some of them were today. The weather was beautiful here, so I went outside to have my morning coffee on the deck. I noticed that the flowers I planted had all dried up and withered. I'm so forgetful. See what happens when I don't have you here to remind me to water them? Today at work I started missing you, so I went through my email folders digging up all the sweet emails you sent to me when we were dating. I saved every last one. I went for a jog this afternoon (still training for that 5k!), and I passed some kids selling lemonade. I laughed when I thought about how you never pass a lemonade stand without buying a cup, just to make sure you're rewarding the kids for their entrepreneurial spirit. I also thought about you when I was cooking dinner for the boys. I had to get a measuring cup down from the top cabinet, and I stumbled upon the ramekins and torch that I bought to make your favorite dessert, creme brulee, for our very first anniversary dinner. Lastly, I killed a spider tonight. (I guess I'm getting braver in your absence.) I thought about how you always pretend to be annoyed when I ask you to kill them, even though I know you like feeling needed. I do need you and miss you very much. I guess it's true what they say: absence really does make the heart grow fonder. I can't wait for you to come home! I promise to make you some creme brulee! Love, Dany
